Having qualified as a solicitor in 2001, Alan started his employment law career in house for a multi-national defence and electronics conglomerate before joining private practice. Before joining Harper James in March 2019 he was a director in top 50 national firm Shakespeare Martineau.
Alan commands a loyal following of clients from multi-nationals and SMEs who really appreciate his ‘can do’ attitude and outcome-focused approach. Thought of by his clients as one of the team, clients regularly use Alan as a sounding board on strategic issues affecting their business.
In addition to providing high quality generalist advice, Alan specialises in restraint of trade issues, TUPE, shareholder and disputes at board level.
Alan’s can do attitude to work fits well with his efforts as a triathlete, the occasional round of golf and as a keen supporter of his family in their sporting pursuits.
