Jas Bhogal joined Harper James Solicitors in 2014 as a corporate solicitor.
She advises primarily on investment matters, working almost exclusively with high growth potential SMEs, along with venture capitalists and other investment platforms. Jas also advises on corporate governance and general day-to-day corporate/commercial matters.
Jas also provides expert support and advice on matters involving:

- Shareholder agreements
- Corporate governance
Jas graduated from the University of Leicester with a degree in Law and completed her LPC at the University of Birmingham. She qualified as a solicitor with MFG Solicitors in 2006 and has specialised in corporate law ever since.
After qualifying, Jas joined Putsmans (now part of Shakespeare Martineau). During this time, Jas spent two years seconded to the venture capital firm Midven Limited, acting as its sole legal counsel and dealing with all investments and exits, as well as contributing to the management of the firm’s relationships with portfolio companies. She also dealt with the legal aspects of a variety of strategic, corporate and operational issues.
Jas has particular past experience of working with clients in the following sectors:

- Manufacturing, including food and drink
- Hospitality, retail and leisure
Outside of work, Jas enjoys spending time with family and friends for whom she especially likes cooking and baking. She also loves to travel, explore new places and experience different cultures.
