Harper James Solicitors is a commercial law firm like no other. We provide expert business legal services from partner level lawyers, but at affordable prices for startups, SMEs and other high growth businesses. Our goal is to ensure these companies can access top level legal advice at critical stages in their development.

Our lawyers are able to drive their careers forward, working alongside like-minded individuals and free from the bureaucracy of traditional law firms.

A truly flexible workplace

As a remote-working solicitor with Harper James, your workload is almost solely focused on the legal work – all support activities, such as legal assistance, administration, invoicing, business development and marketing are completed by professionals in their respective fields. Thanks to our adoption of market-leading time-recording software and cloud-based data management systems, you can decide your own working patterns, can access all necessary files easily and securely, and connect with colleagues when you need. All of this, when coupled with the freelance nature of our roles, adds up to a truly flexible legal workplace.

How we work with our clients

We’re set apart from traditional commercial law firms by offering our clients three different service plans, including two subscription options. In this video our CEO, Toby Harper, explains each option and the types of businesses they’re suitable for.

Life at Harper James

Our solicitors talk about the work/life balance they enjoy with us, as well as the benefits of working without the bureaucracy that’s usually found at a traditional law firm.
